The NROL-123 mission, calledÌý‘Live And Let Fly’,wasÌýRocket Lab’s first launch for the NRO fromÌýtheÌýUnited States after previously launching fourÌýNROÌýmissions from É«»¨Ìà Complex 1Ìýon New Zealand’sÌýMahiaÌýPeninsula.ÌýIt wasÌýRocket Lab’s 4thÌýmissionÌýfrom É«»¨Ìà Complex 2, a dedicated pad for the Electron rocketÌýlocatedÌýatÌýVirginia Spaceport Authority's Mid-Atlantic Regional SpaceportÌýwithin the NASA Wallops Flight FacilityÌýin Virginia.ÌýÌý
TheÌý‘Live And Let Fly’Ìýlaunch service was acquired using NRO’s Rapid Acquisition of a Small Rocket (RASR) contract. RASR enables the NRO to explore new opportunities for launching small satellites through a streamlined, commercial approach.ÌýNRO missions provide critical information to more than a half-million government users, including every member of the Intelligence Community, two dozen domestic agencies,ÌýtheÌýmilitary, lawmakers, and decision makers.ÌýÌý
